When you have a lineage of books to turn to, you can kind of find cool character stuff that you hope to kind of bring into the movie if there’s an opportunity.
I have a certain responsibility towards the audience, my producers, distributors, market and the film industry because they have faith and trust in me so I wouldn’t like to disappoint my audience or the investors.
My choice of films is dictated by my creative instincts. What moves me as a creative person or as a human being…that is what drives me in accepting films.
